Shorten the length of time for practices and games.
Limit the number of participants in the program and on teams.
Limit the number people on the field to 30 per side of regulation lacrosse fields.
Keep groups to fewer than 10 when possible and limit intermingling and maintaining 6ft of distance whenever possible.
Participants Expectations:
Anyone experiencing symptoms must stay home.
Players must wear mask or face coverings at all times.
Please bring your own water bottle, no sharing water bottles.
All water bottles should be clearly labeled with participants’ name.
Players should refrain from high fives, handshakes, and other forms of physical contact.
Participants must arrive on time and maintain social distancing prior to practices.
Players will not share equipment when possible.
Follow the RULES that will be implemented by BYL and Coaching staff.
Have a good, fun attitude.
Be flexible and patient.
Listen to coaching staff at all times.
Stay on task and do not become disruptive.
Coaches Expectations:
Anyone experiencing symptoms must stay home.
Coaches must wear mask or face coverings at all times.
Coaches will be expected to assist with maintaining social distancing of players on the field and on the sidelines.
Spectators Expectations:
Spectators must wear a mask at all times.
Be patient and courteous with our coaching, referee’s and volunteer staff.
If you have been in contact with anyone who has been ill or are isolating at home, please let us know and stay home for 14 days.
Report any COVID-19 symptoms within the household.
Reinforce our social distancing, hygiene and cleaning policies, as well as no sharing items from home.
Equipment:
Each participant will receive their own BYL game shirt, shorts and tee shirt. Participants must bring their own required equipment to practice and games.
Any shared equipment will be cleaned after each practice and game.
Players will use hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the practices, games, and after water breaks.
First Aid Procedures:
Wear protective gloves during First Aid.
Wear protective shield during First Aid (if applicable).
Wear protective mask during First Aid.
If participant was social distancing during the injury, send someone to retrieve their mask if they cannot do so with gloved hand while giving First Aid.
Everyone involved with care should wash hands before and immediately after helping participant/staff.
Wash/sanitize equipment and area after use.
Call parent and document injury/illness.
Protective Equipment:
Participants and coaches will wear masks or face coverings at all times. We will try to limit physical contact between coaches/staff and participants.
Cleaning Equipment:
After each practice and game we will sanitize any shared equipment.
Social Distancing:
The participants will be spaced out when not actively participating. Participants on the side line during games will be spaced out 6 feet apart.
Drop Off/Arrival Procedure:
Participants and spectators should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the practice and or game. Masks or face coverings must be worn at all times.
Departure Procedure:
Once the practice and or game have ended, participants and spectators will exit the fields in an organized manner maintaining social distancing and remaining masked.
Interaction with the public:
Again, when we interact with public we will have masks on and maintain social distancing.
Care Recommendations for Parents/Coaching/Volunteers
Call 911 if you have a medical emergency: Notify the operator that you have, or think you might have, COVID-19. If possible, put on a cloth face covering before medical help arrives.
Stay home except to get medical care.
Separate yourself from other people.
Monitor your symptoms.
When to Seek Medical Attention: ¨ Trouble breathing ¨ Persistent pain or pressure in the chest ¨ Cough ¨ Fever ¨ New confusion or inability to arouse ¨ Bluish lips or face ¨ Recent loss of sense of smell or taste
