Lacrosse Helmet – we go with white helmets; hockey helmets are not accepted by the Mass Bay League.
Shoulder Pads – lacrosee shoulder pads are preferred, but hockey shoulder pads might work.
Arm Pads
Lacrosse Gloves – hockey gloves are not allowed; they do not flex in the right places and are too restrictive for stick handling action in lacrosse.
Lacrosse Stick - white head with mesh pocket material is preferred.
Mouth Guard – Buy one with a strap so you can attach it to the helmet; follow molding instructions.
Cup and Holder - This will probably feel more comfortable if worn over the right type of underwear or shorts. Compression-type shorts or brief style that has legs that go into the thigh area. Over boxers or gym shorts is a secondary choice.
Footwear - sneakers for indoor practices (basketball type recommended; don’t wear running sneakers/running shoes); rubber molded cleats for grass and for playing on the new artificial turf fields.
Optional: rib pads are optional but highly recommended for U13 and U15
